School named after Theodor Fleitmann

The new Theodor-Fleitmann-School was officially opened in Schwerte yesterday.

We celebrated the naming ceremony together with our founder’s Great Great Grandaughter.

The origin of Deutsche Nickel GmbH dates back as far as 1861. In 1878 our founder Theodor Fleitmann made the groundbreaking discovery that the addition of Magnesium allowed Nickel to be hot-rolled and forged. Even today, this remarkable discovery still forms the basis of manufacturing throughout the nickel processing industry.

Both Director Wolfgang Raulf and Plant Manager Thomas Hinrich were present at the opening ceremony.
